I've tried hard to fix this problem to no avail... Recently, out of nowhere all my avi files began to skip/stutter. When I'm watching using divx player the audio will stutter for about 3 seconds every couple of minutes. It's occurring with all avi files in all players. I've searched for virus and done a defrag but nothing has helped. As far as I can tell I'm not missing any codecs. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm desperate!
Open the task manger and check the cpu usage when the file is playing. Does the cpu approach 100%? What process is using all the cpu ?
