Hey all I'm pretty new to all this so please bear with me. I had a .avi file I wished to convert to dvd so I followed this guide: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm AVIcodec gave me the following information: File : 699 MB (699 MB), duration: 1:30:32, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 56 % Video : 575 MB, 888 Kbps, 23.976 fps, 528*288 (16:9), DX50 = DivXNetworks Divx v5, Supported Audio : 124 MB, 192 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x2000 = AC3 DVM, Supported I extracted the AC3 audio as suggested. When it came to the encoding I chose DVD-NTSC (even though i'm in Europe) as the fps was 23.976 I followed the rest of the tutorial as it said yet when I tried to playback my DVD I had audio but no visual. Where might I have gone wrong? My TV is capable of displaying in NTSC, PAL and Multi and my dvd player can play all regions. Thanks in advance for any help.
I forgot to add that I found it strange that after using TMPGEnc on my 699Mb .avi (with the AC3 audio extracted) I was left with the following: .m2v = 125Mb .wav = 994Mb When it came to authoring the DVD I used the extracted .AC3 audio. After using IFOEdit I was left with the following files: VIDEO_TS.BUP = 6kb VIDEO_TS.IFO = 6kb VTS_01_0.BUP = 52kb VTS_01_0.IFO = 52kb VTS_01_0.VOB = 278,198 kb It just didn't look righ to me. Hope this helps solve where I went wrong. Tommy
