First I would like to start by saying that I am just getting started at backing up DvDs and would like to pre apologize for any misunderstands I may have throughout this thread. I am currently using DvDStyler in order to burn my .avi files to my DvD-Rs. I have noticed that it takes a very long time to conver the file formats and not very long at all in order to actually burn the information onto the DvD-R. I was wondering if there was a way I could use two programs. One in order to convert the format and save the format onto my HD. Then from there another program to burn multiple copies of the converted format thus saving me about an hour and a half per copy because of the time it takes to reconvert the same .avi for each copy I make. Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this and possibly help me. Also if I have overlooked a thread a simple link would be great. MyRep
You can convert the file with ConvertXtoDVD and change the settings to not burn and only create the files (DVD Folder) http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/vso_convertxtodvd_guide.cfm Then you can burn it with ImgBurn. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/burn_dvd_folder_imgburn.cfm
Attar: No I was not creating an ISO image but I had considered it but I wasnt sure what program would be used. mike.m: Thank you so much for the easy solution
I just went to download the ConvertXtoDVD does the trial version have very many inhibitors that would make it unuseful compared to the buy version?
