If you have a Mpeg Video file and an audio file then you still need to use a DVD Authoring program so you can add your Menu"s and Chapters and Format it all into a Videol_TS Folder and then Burnt to DVD....

An easy DVD Authoring Program to use is "Tmpgenc DVD Author".....

If you don"t want any menu"s or Chapters you could use something like "VSO DivXtoDVD" which will convert your AVI file to a Video_TS Folder which you would then just Burn to DVD in DVD-Video Mode but since you allready have the Mpeg-2 Video and audio files it would be Quicker to use the DVD Authoring Program to Put them on to DVD ....

    Cheers

No, It is Not...But the Demo version is Fully Functional For 30 days...

I don"t think there are any Real DVD Authoring programs that are Freeware....

DivXToDVD should only take maybe 2 hours Max if you have a PC that is Over 2.0ghz....On my system I can encode a 2 hour Movies to Mpeg-2/DVD Format in about 90 minutes....

    Cheers

No....And "Tmpgenc DVD Author" only requires a Plugin if you want to encode the Audio to Dolby Digital AC3 but you don"t need to use that audio format on your DVD"s.....

    watkins86,

you say you already have Nero? Then drop the avi file into NeroVisionExpress and that will convert it to the vob files you need to burn to disc. It will even burn the files to disc for you if you want it to.

If you want to keep the AC3 sound (I always do) then download the AC3 filter from Afterdawns download section and that should do it.

I've been trying to copy an avi file to DVD direct via Pinnacle - I obviously need an encoder but the manual doesn't say so. I then tried using Sonic to burn the AVI to DVD - it copies OK but the film is very jumpy either to DVDR or to DVDRW. Waht am I doing srong?
