Hi there, im pretty new to this, I used ConvertX tp burn to dvd and it was done i played it the dvd player and the last 5 min or so skips and or freezes. I tried another avi file and burned it and the same thing happened but that one was only a couple of mins at the end. I tried the dvix repair and it said there was no bad frames. any suggestions?

As was noted it's probably the discs. Inferior media usually has problems at the outer edges. If you have a lot left and want to try to salvage them go into CX2D-> Settings-> Encoding, and change 'Target size' to something like 4100MB.

Here's a visual of a bad burn/disc that has problems at the end.

Keeping this disc to a max size of 4100 MB will avoid burning to the problematic end section.

Don't be put off to using ConvertX. It's far and away the best software of it's type. If your needs are very basic conversions, the much less feature rich DVD Flick may suffice.

sorry?.. I don't get why you say that considering flick allows creation of custom menus and supports 4 audio streams and 4 subs sets.. convertx doesn't even come close.

AND it's fully gpl compliant.. unlike the payware using STOLEN libraries without giving credit to the authors or links to the sources (as LEGALLY REQUIRED under the terms of the GPL)

Now after a ragging from a member of the EFF you can continue promoting your limited and illegal payware XD

I guess I missed your so called 'custom' menus. The six seem rather rudimentary to me, especially compared to the many motion and static ones (over 30 customizable templates) that CD2D provides.

Makes no difference how many subs Flick handles when you get this:

Graphic subs are handled with ease in CX2D. And on the sub front does Flick provide a way to edit them?

There is also the very useful new resizing options that CX2D3 has.

Did I miss the ability to crop/pad and resize in Flick?

As I said Flick is OK for basic chores. CX2D though is a far superior product, more robust and feature rich. Well worth the few dollars it cost.

As far as your 'legal' interpretations, leave it to the lawyers, of which you obviously are not.
