AVI TO .DVD TO CD-R

    Hi,
    I Have some short movies that are in .avi and I have DVD Santa to convert them into .DVD to burn to a DVD but I was wondering instead of burning them to DVD is it possible t o burn it to a CD-R insted as I don't have a DVD Rewriter...thanks

    you can burn a vcd if thats what your going for, but you cant burn dvd data to cd, because there is not enought space, that is what VCD,s are for.

    No the movies are under 700mb each which is the capacity of the CD...???

    oh, so are the movies in dvd compliant material like .vob but are under 700mb and that is what you want to burn to a cd instead of a dvd. If so, im honestly not sure if it would work, if your dvd can read cds i guess it should work, but try it and see i guess.

    Hi there,

    Most if not all DVD Player will not recognise VIDEO_TS (.VOB) files burned to a CD-R.

    You need at least 1gb of data to be in the DVD Standards anyway, right people ?
