I DL'd AVI2DVD and tried to convert an AVI I found. When it asked for an audio stream, there were none in the drop down box. So I went with NeroVision Express (6.whatever, the latest version). After a couple hours the conversion was done but the playback was quite jerky. Any suggestions?
NVE3 is my choice of progs, this could be the type of media you are using. Whilst NVE is transcoding do NOT do any multitasking and if you have Spyware Doctor running then CLOSE it. What brand of discs are you using.
I'm using Dysan DVD+R DL. I also found part of the problem with AVI2DVD. Once I removed every nonletter character from the file name it found the audio stream. But now it sayss it can't find a decompresser for the audio.
If your files are already in AVI format and you are using NVE3 to burn then you do not need to convert the AVI files to DVD, just drag AVI files into NVE3 prog and burn.
hi decompressor sounds like a codec issue! i use only 1 pack called K-LITE MEGA pack and install the lot! i use the film machine with a separate encoder called CCE, the quailty of the output dvd files is the same as the avi first put in, totally amazing... love it...
thanx for the tips. a friend of mine suggested Windows movie maker. is it any good. Also, the blip for CCE says CCE inserts a logo into the video stram. Is that in the entire stream or just as a "splash".
hi not sure if its entire film or a splash but TFM has 4 built in encoders use HCEnc a very good all rounder! try TFM its free and is a front end GUI which use pro apps for sound and video behind its front... couldnt live without it.........
