hi, i got about 20 episode i want to put on dvd. The file is .avi about 230 meg each.
I was using the hp dvd write application, the one that come with my dvd burner but when i put 1 episode it take 900 meg, about 4.5 time more then the avi format. I was wondering is there anyways i can burn my episode without the file going 900 meg? with 900 meg, i can add about 5 episode, i don;t want to waste lot of dvd for that. Is there any ways, i can burn it so it take minumum space on the DVD so i can watch it on my television?
    Thanks

any time you convert avi to dvd you're gonna see an increase in size, but different programs and different settings will yield different results. I use divxtodvd and a 700MB AVI file usually ends up being about 2.5GB in the end. I used TMPGEnc on the same file and got about 4.5GB. Choose a lower bitrate if you want the output files to be smaller (if the program allows you to) but by doing this you are going to sacrifice quality.
