I am trying to convert an avi file to DVD using AVI2DVD and Imgburn. I have followed the tutorial as posted on this site and the conversion appears to work OK as I can play back the DVD on my computers DVD player. The problem begins when I try to play the DVD on my home player. I get an error that the desk cannot be loaded or played. I have burned many DVDs with my computer and played them on my home player without issue. Any guidance would be appreciated.
    Thank you

    1. make sure the conversion was for the appropriate format of your home dvd player. either ntsc or pal.
    2. if your dvd files are in video_ts format, open them up in dvdshrink and make sure they preview properly. If you get navigation errors use "fixvts" to fix the vob's.

I used DVD shrink to burn a second disk and it did not work in my Sony either. The strange thing is that I tried both burns in my Toshiba DVD player and they both played! For some reason my Sony does not like either burn even though it is a relatively new player and I use it to play backed up copies using Anydvd and Clonedvd all of the time. Strange.
