I am trying to convert an avi file in TMPGEnc. The video size is 640x272. I was wondering how I can convert so I dont lose the picture so its all stretched out when I re-encode it? I've found some templates here http://kvcd.net/dvd-models.html but i don't which would be the best so i dont lose the size and get the best quality that will still fit on one cd-r (i dont have a dvd writer yet) Ps the video is 700mbx2 so i was gonna make 2 kvcd is this the best way to do it?? Cheers Jim
My proposal is: in step 3/5 of the Wizard, you press the key 'Other Settings'. Then you have to move (clicking on the top of the screen) on the sub-screen "Advanced" and to be sure to change the drop-down command 'Video Arrange Method', from the default 'Full screen' to 'Full screen (keep aspect ratio)', so you're sure the aspect ratio is preserved (ah, just to be safe, change in the 1st sub-screen ( "Video" ) 'Motion Search Precision' from 'High Quality' to 'Very High Quality'. Then return to the "Advenced" sub-screen and double-click the 'Clip Frame' box. Now 'play' to the clip drop-down lists (Top, Bottom, Left, Right) until you have the desired image. Since you set 'Full screen (keep aspect ratio)' on the 'Video Arrange Method' the image will keep the aspect ratio, so you'll avoid to 'stratch' the video. Good luck...
