Ive downloaded King Kong the Movie and its 1.37 GB If i convert it to MP4 will it reduce the size to around 500-700mb? If not how do i make it smaller? as i have spiderman 2 thats 400mb but i got that as an already MP4 Fast response will be great Thanks
Converting to mp4 by itself really has no set impact on filesize. If you use a lower combined bitrate, then it will be smaller. If you use a larger combined bitrate, it will be larger. Chances are that the video is already MPEG-4, so you don't even strickly need to re-encode that. Audio is probably AC3 which is not MPEG-4 compliant. Now re-encoding to aac could reduce the size, but not down to 500-700MB's. I would suggest that you convert the video to AVC using x264.
The file name is King.Kong[2005]DvDrip.AC3[Eng]-aXXo Its in 2 parts and are both 700 mb So how comes my spiderman is 400-500mb ? and how comes this is 492mb http://www.torrentz.com/torrent_380777.html
Well size is just bitrate * time. So how come one file is smaller than another? Because it uses a lower bitrate or the runtime is shorter. Few things though. The PSP screen is quite small (compared to a TV or PC monitor) so I would imagine that the resolution is lower. Plus it would have stereo aac audio at say 96kb vs. say 384+k 5.1 Ac3.
