avi to mpeg delay sound

    Hi, i have this problem:when i convert a file .avi(divx5,4,ecc..) to mpeg1, i have a delay sound between viedo and audio in .mpg file:sometime the delay is constant, sometime delay increase it with the time!How can i do to resolve this problem?
    I star from avi to mpeg, i don't ripp directly from dvd, i wan specified it!!i have only the .avi file!!

    If you are encoding a file to mpg with any encoder, the absolute worst thing you could do is use the computer at the same time!. What are you using to encode???

    I use tmpegenc, with a pentium 200, but i use the pc only for it, someone avi are syncronized, someone avi have a delay.please help me

    Oh Right it was you sent me the pm! A thought would be to process the video and audio seperately and then multiplex them!

    Yes, I have a problem with that too. I converted an avi movie to mpeg using tmpgenc and the sound to the movie are unsynchronized. How do i fix this??

    When using TMPGEnc, make sure that you dont use the computer at the same time or have other programs running with it!
