I personaly use TMPGencoder. and if my movie starts out as 700mb or so and I convert it to mpg. it will be about 1.3gb then I would use Dvtool and split the file to be burn to discs with Nero (bless those peeps at Ahead.)

For TMPGEnc, PCM audio is better than mp3 as the input.

    Hello
I used TMPRGenc to convert me avi but it took alnight
Then I found this cool tool called AviChop, chopped my avi in half Then Nero done the rest for me.. encoded it and burn it in about 3hrs (for both parts) The sound is about half a second out (looks like Will Smith is doing a bit mimeing)but its the same with a different mpeg (same movie) that i aquired thanx anway chaps

Dela.. whats wrong with nero doing the encoding?
plus here's another question if you dont mind.
    I have a 3 part movie (3 cds, mpeg)
nero says theres an error this file is mpeg 2 instead of mpeg1
I can either disregard this and continue to burn or let nero re-encoded it
what do you recommend I do
    Thanx
