avi. ?

hello everybody im new in here and new to the computer stuff.

ok heres my ? i down loaded some music videos and used nero to burn them to a cd-r and it works on my home dvd player now i step up to a movie but its on avi. format and its to long to burn it on a 700 mb cd-r, how do i do this and will it play on my home/car dvd player.

does your incar dvd player play avi files ?
if so burn them to dvd, you will be able to fit at least 4 or 5 avi files on a dvd.
if your in car dvd player does not play avi files then you will have to convert them to dvd format before burning to dvd.
