So I'm using Avi2Dvd and upon loading an OGM file I receive this error: "No combination of filters could be found to render the stream". If there's no way around this, could someone please enlighten on a freeware of shareware converter for OGM to AVI?

The Problems is that AVI2DVD doesn"t Support OGM, You also have to have the OGM decoders Installed....

I believe you can use "Virtual-Dub Mod" to convert the OGM file to AVI/XviD without Quality Loss.....

Try Loading the OGM Into V-Dub-Mod and set the Video and Audio to "Direct stream Copy" and then go to "File" to "Save as AVI" and save it and that will Hopefully work....

    Cheers

Cool. I will try that and update the thread with results. Question though, if Avi2Dvd doesn't support OGM, why does the "load" button say "load avi/ogm/mkv"?

Well Maybe it Does?? If it does then the reson why it isn"t loading is because you do not have the Correct Codecs installed for it to decode the File....

So try installing the OGM decoder Pack and see if you can encode the File....

    Cheers

Do you happen to know of a good site where I could download that? I googled OGM decoder pack and got an a$$load of links. Were you just referring to some generics OGM decoders? Thanks in advance!

OK, I was able to convert the .ogm file to .avi with VDubMod, but the .avi has no audio. In VDubMod, there is no "audio" menu, or any option for audio other than 'sync to audio' being on or off. ver. 1.5.10.2. I have the ogm codecs installed. Able to play .ogm. Any thoughts?

Do You have the OGG Vorbis audio codec Installed?? I believe OGM files use Vorbis audio so You Probably need this audio Codec installed....

I haven"t Used OGG Files Much so I don"t know That Much about them....

    Good luck
