OK, I'm trying to use AVI2DVD to convert some AVI files to DVD, and was following the guide I found on here.

I ran the program, selected the source file, and was presented with this error message:

Can anyone tell me what might cause this, and how I might fix it?

I just got the same error and was hoping to find the solution on this forum. I'll check back later...

Hi. I just figured it out by searching through these forums. You need to download the codec:

    http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Mega_Codec_Pack.htm

I downloaded and installed that file, and now I no longer have that problem.

My new problem is what to do with the files that it puts out: I recognize ISO's and AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS files, but this program is putting out AC3 files. What do I do with these?

OK, after messing around with it for awhile, I decided that this program just wasn't working for me. I have secured a copy of WinAVI Video Convertor. If you need any help, I'll be on MSN for a while: llehue@comcast.net
