I first used this program a couple of days ago and everything worked great. I followed the instructions in the guide here at afterdawn.com. My first pass took about 1.5 hours and the second about 2 hours. I had my ISO and burned it to a DVD with ease.

Now I'm trying to do it again (with a different file). The first pass took about 1.5 hours. Now I'm sensing a problem. The second pass has been running for 4 hours and the time to complete keeps increasing. It started out (after the first pass) at 2 hours and now after 4 hours it says it will take another 6 hours.

    Any suggestions/thoughts?

    hi

odd? you only need 1 pass if useing CCE encoder, but use film machine its benefits are better, including audio boost and now dsroba which uses 1 pass of CCE but does 4 passes really!

I'm pretty sure I did as I deleted the directory it created and this one was in a different folder.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the file. It plays fine on the PC, or does DivFix fix things that might not effect playback?

    EDIT:

I just got home (so I can finally look at it) and I noticed for some reason on Pass2 I'm only averaging 3 FPS. I know I was getting around 20 FPS on pass 1. Any thoughts as to what could be slowing it down. The computer hasn't been doing anything else and their isn't a screensaver.

    hi

after i do one avi to dvd, i reboot my pc! as it bogs down the ram and cant clear it very good... i have a 3gig cpu and a 1gig ram

also avi can look fine! but i have done many now and found that they cockup sometimes but found that divfix sorts them out, and yes before this the file plays perfect on pc - go figure?

I did reboot right before I started everything. It finally finished. I haven't burned it yet (as now I'm back at work), so I won't know until later if it actually worked. Here is the log, maybe this means something to someone. I'm hoping this was just a quirky conversion and will not be the norm.

hey all, i have a question regarding avi2dvd... i read in the guide that if my movie is in two parts, all I do is name one file video_cd1.avi and the other file video_cd2.avi, and it'll load both... but when I click go!, it says that it can't perform because the "video resolution is different" is there any way i can change the resolution on my files? any other suggestions?

    thanks so much!
