    Hi, I'm totally new to all this (Well i've been told how to do it before but it was hard to take in). I was told i must use DVDshrink before i can burn movies onto DVD.

    I'm wishing to convert an avi i have into mpeg so i can stick onto a DVD so i can play in my dvd player. (If that's the way it works?)

    I also have a .bin file that i want to play on my DVD player, i've tried to look at other threads but they're all slightly different.

    What must i do?

    I have the following programs;
    Alcohol 120%, Latest Nero bundle, divxtodvd, Daemon Tools.

    P.S. I'm new remember, so no hard terminogly!

    Thanks in advance

    Convert your avi to mpeg-2 using something like VSO DivX to DVD.
    .bin files need to be burned. Nero will do that, select Recorder, and burn image.

    hi

    Avi to dvd i use = Film machine it will do the lot for you! (convert/compress/make pal or ntsc) and even burn the disc, could also use avi2dvd - both apps free...

    bin/cue files can be burnt as is to cdr's, load the cue file in nero say and burn bin/cue (usually SVCD / cdr) output

    you can extract the mpeg from the bin file only (use ISOBUSTER) and make it into a dvd structure (VIDEO_TS / AUDIO_TS folders and files of type xxx.VOB / xxx.IFO / xxx.BUP) by useing dvdpatcher (free app) to PAL or NTSC then load to an authoring app like Tmpgenc dvd author, this way theres NO ENCODING (no loss of original quality) and then burn to dvdr...

    if your needing help on a specific way then please shout here as i have covered a few options....
