My AW m7700 started having video problems not long ago.I bought a New video card and that didnt work. I then bought a used but tested motherboard from a power seller from ebay. That fixed the video problem but now when windows starts up it says- a disk read error occurred. press ctrl-alt-del to restart. Is there something more I should check or is this motherboard bad?

Sounds like you need to go into the bios and set the boot options.
