I have windows xp, home. The problem seems to have started when I uninstalled AGV and reinstalled a newer version. My computer takes for ever to boot up (10-15min). I can’t run disk defragmenter or try to restore to an earlier restore point. It seems like weird things are taking place like email address disappearing. I all of a sudden have two DVD writers Show up Under My Computer. When I only actually have one. And none of my programs will acknowledge my DVD writer (windows medial player ECT.) I can play a disk on it but I can’t use it in conjunction with any program to burn, they all say I don’t have a DVD player/burner. I’ve tried to update the firm ware but it also does not recognize the DVD drive. I use Google chrome and explorer and when I try to use the search engine it redirects me to different types of search engines. And my computer seems real slow. I have two hard drives and neither is full, but I really can’t trust what my computer is telling me. Especially since the defragmenter and restorer don’t work. Sorry so long, but there was a lot to explain and I still fell like I may have left something out.
ok first for you disks Movies and or music or games start using VLC player the most codecs and the lowest resource usage out of all players, second start using nod 32 again the lowest resources and the best protection agv is good but nods better, AND USE FIRE FOX not IE, internet explorer is S***. get your self a good driver detector the best is either driver detective or driver geniuse edit by binkie to remove sig
wait for better advice. changing to a different player's not going to help if you have a virus.I can't help with the virus part. looks to be a spammer with the email addy thing going!
@digitalyt Let's remove that link & advertising in your sig ASAP. Check out the link in my sig too - the rule one.
