    hi,
Just wondering if anyone has an answer to a problem im having with uploading

i have 22 torrents to upload/seed at the moment, but when i run them all and trying to download a torrent, i get a crappy download speed, like 8kb/s, compared to when i stop all the uploads and then i get like 50 kb/s.

i have no problem uploading, but only if its not at the expense of my download speed
is there a way to fix this?

(i have port forwarded etc my nat is fine)

    internet traffic...

if u were downloading at- say 90kbps- then ur upload speed wil slow down...

One cable, in most internet connections... for both dl/ul... sorri- its the way it is...

    Hi,

Its recommended you don't run that many torrents or you'll never get the most out of your connection, since you have only limited bandwidth.

I'd advise you to get rid of a couple, read TomMelee's BT guide while your at it:

    http://www.plucky.org/

Browse the site and absorb all of the p2p info on there :p

    thanks for the tips guys

im guessing youll need to port forward again as your new computer won't have the same info as what your old one had on it
    its fairly simple

    go to www.portforward.com
    its very detailed there
youll most likely need to make your ip address static again too, theres info in this forum about doing that

so does anyone have any tips on how to get my ratio up over 1?
ive looked at the faq and around here but theres no real answer

as above i removed a lot of torrents that i was seeding, and now my ratio has gone down so what do you do to keep it up while not killing your dl speed?
