My brother has an iPod with a clickwheel with a black and white screen about a year old now. The screen shows the sad iPod and there is that triangle exclamation point warning. The computer isn't reading that the iPod is connected and I was just wondering if there is anything I can do besides send it to apple [the warantee is expired] to try and fix it. The hardrive sounds sort of like its slipping [I can't think of a better way to describe it] could it possibly be broken?
Sorry to say, your iPod is broken. There is a malfunction, most probably in the HDD, and it cannot be repaired without service.
Alright, thanks Lethal was hoping someone could have maybe had a solution, I like to ignore reality sometimes
Already busted my one like that, which is why I have the fancy new video one. Screen broke for reasons unknown to me, must have bumped into something, which voided my warranty so when the hardrive crapped out a few months later they wouldn't replace it. But I think this video iPod is 300 dollars well spent.
