    Hi folks,

Can you please help.I have just got a new Release dvd which I am trying to back up.Always like to keep a copy.I am using AnyDVD,DVD Region + CSS Free and to burn DVDXCopy.Works fine untill now.
Load everything up and when it goes to start reading it comes up Could not find prefferd audio language pick from lost below. It says Not Specified Dolby AC-3 2ch 48Kbps DRC.Click on that and then it goes back to reading it in 5 seconds where it should take 20 about mins. It says in AnyDVD that it is CSS Protected.

    Thanks.

Are you running AnyDVD and DVD Region and CSS Free at the same time. If so, don't. Just run AnyDVD. There's a new version of AnyDVD just out as well. It seems like DVD XCopy is having a problem.

Try using DVD Shrink and ImgBurn, both free, instead. The linked DVD Shrink below will autoburn, if selected to do so, with ImgBurn.

    Hi Laddyboy,

Tried with NO go on it.Even when shrink was reading it it froze at 51%. I should have also said that it is a NEW movie on a SONY disk.Normally have NO problems with the set-up I have but I think it is with it being a Sony.

    Cheers.

All Sony discs can be ripped with RipIt4Me.

Can you rip it to your HDD with the AnyDVD ripper or DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD running in the background? I assume you had AnyDVD running when you were using DVD Shrink. Did you try cleaning the disk? Does the disk play in your DVD burner? What title is it?

As dialysis suggested Ripit4me is surefire unless something is wrong with the disk or reader. I haven't seen or heard of anything that AnyDVD couldn't handle with the excption of titles not yet released. Here's a link to Ripit4me with links to the free software in this guide:
