I always back up all of my movies because i eventually watch and loan them out so much that they become scratched up WAY before they should be (what can i say...i'm a freak) but i am having HORRIBLE trouble backing up my movie "Waiting" the couple of times i was able to back it up...it never played in my dvd player right....and most of the time it fails to back up. has anyone else had this problem with this or any other movie? this is my first problem i've had... i'm kind of a newbie though...

what else besides DVD Shrink do you use to try the backup? Shrink doesnt do some newer movies because of encryption problems and many sinister ways the movie industry tries to keep you from backing it up.
Give program names (Nero log if used)
Burners used & brand discs put in them.
___edit___ Funny movie by the way, no problem myself with backup, but I use AnyDVD. Now I give you [bold]THE GOAT[/bold]

^^ Everything he said is right on.

It's probably because of Shrink being outdated (this fact should be plastered someone in the Shrink forum). It stopped updating like 2 years ago.

Waiting is recent--more recent than Shrink.

I know for a fact AnyDVD would do this successfully with Shrink.

You are about to have many people tell you, some nicely, some not, how bad Memorex are. You could be doing everything properly, still not watching the movie on anything but your computer. For more info on the why's and wherefors check a few of the many pages of this link.

For DL, the only thing you should be using is Verbatim. No ifs, ands, or buts. No exceptions. Only verbatim!

Please, don't be vague, what do you really think?
I agree on Verbs. Buy other discs at half the price, only half of them work, ends up costing the same in the long run.
