BackDoor.Generic11.ZNE infected now computer continues to restart

Last night after a Windows Update I became infected with BackDoor.Generic11.ZNE and another virus called FakeAlert.LN. AVG was able to rid of the FakeAlert but not BackDoor.Generic11.ZNE. After several attempts I decided to back up all of my files before trying to do an AVG scan in safemode, I am glad I did.

I did the scan in AVG in safemode, restarted my computer and now it will not even boot. I get a blue screen after Windows XP boot screen comes up. Not even in safemode will my computer start. It simply continues to restart over and over. As of now it is not functional and I am wondering what I need to do.

I am running Windows XP SP3 on a Compaq Presario v5000.

Use ComboFix tool. I had similar issue. I used ComboFix and it worked.
