BackDoor Ircbot.JAO

can anyone help a friend to remove this virus, he has AVG but it wont remove it.it is in one of his graphic driver files,i suggested trying superantispyware or malwarebytes. he is running windows XP

 

Both are good programs, I prefer avast av program over avg. The home edition is free at avast.com. When installing say yes to do a scan on the next system startup. This will locate your virus, and I recommend sending it to your virus chest. Good Luck, Rev

 

thanks for the reply, he has got rid of the virus now but will tell him to note your hint.

 

Glad the virus is gone, cool name, I go there quite often my self.
