background audio is louder than dialog

    i'm playing an .mkv file using media player classic (and also tried playing in media player 10) and the background noise/audio is noticeably louder than the dialog. is there anyway i can fix this, using a different program of changing some settings (i'm using the klite codec pack)?

    What background/audio noise ? DO you mean
    a hissing or buzzing sound, or an actual part of the soundtrack ?
