Background downloading not working

    Although I have background downloading enabled, when I turn off my 360, my downloads stop and the system completely shuts down. Usually the system finishes its download(s) before shutting down. I have the wireless adapter so I am guessing my poor router connection is the problem, but that should not disable the background downloading, or should it?. Anyone know the real reason? Thanks.

    Maybe the connection drops and you get disconnected, so it shuts down your system.

    why not eliminate the problem and try using an ethernet cable rather than the wireless adapter to see whether or not it is the wireless connection that is the problem.
