Would i be right in saying a cd based ps2 game needs to be copied as "data cd" ? as there are a few options available at that stage.

also when i do dvd based stuff, before i put the origional in i can enable burn 1x speed, but as soon as the origional has gone in it only gives me the choice of 2x/2.4x/4x would that be the only speeds my burner can do it at ? ie its not compatible to burn at 1x ?

    i have a nec 1300a dvd rw

If you are burning a CD you just click on File/New/CD/CD copy and you can make 1:1 copies. For your second question, with Nero you will burn at 2.4X or 4X because thats the speed of the media you are burning to and 2.4 is as low as you can go. All that burn at 1X is overrated any way, I burn at 4X and have backedup over 40 discs and no problems. Don't buy into the 1X myth.

cheers for replying mate,i now understand my last question. But going back to my first question about using nero 6 to burn cd based games. After you've clicked on cd copy,if you then click on read options you have a list of

    1 user defined
    2 data cd
    3 audio cd
    4 video cd
5 mixed mode or cd extra
    6 karaoke cd

do i then select data cd? or something else ?

Sorry I didn't understand your question until I opened Nero and looked for myself. I use the Audio CD under the Fast copy options.
