    I recently had someone Softmod my xbox using the 007 Exploit, i have Evox as my Dashboard. today i ftp to the xbox to backup my C/ and E/ Drive in realize that he didn't make a back up of my EEPROM, i only have the MS Backup folder. so my question is is it still possible to backup the EEPROM even after the Xbox has been completely Softmoded, or am I completely out of luck ?

    I am sure you could just the point of it is if you screw up while soft modding that there will be a back-up. If your Xbox is screwed up now then don't back-up a screwed eeprom!

    Yeah, the eeprom doesnt change bro. You DEFINITELY want to back it up...thats your key to fixing your hdd if need be!

    See, lets say you screw your xbox up royaly BUT you have the eeprom, you can actually recover your hdd hotswapping...well its a new hotswap so to speak. There is this newer program called Xbox HDD Manager (or something to that extent). What it does is it can give you access to your hdd, lock it, unlock it, rebuild it, etc as long as you have the eeprom.

    I just fucked up an xbox b/c I didnt back up the eeprom...I backed up the C, but not the eeprom. Needless to say...I have to buy a chip now and a larger hdd so I can have an Xbox again :p

    I noticed that booting the Xbox with the tray open takes me to the EvoX Setting sceen where there is an option to "Create Mod Backup" My intentions were to highlight that option using the Xbox controller and hopefully that would create a backup of my eeprom on the xbox c/ drive, then all I would need to do is ftp to the Xbox and copy the eeprom to the pc then Burn to cd for safe keeping. If these not the correct steps to backing up my eeprom,, Please correct me.

    let me show you the easiest way back up your eeprom with a softmodded xbox using evox dash. in your evox dash go to settings, then backup. your eeprom should now be in C:/backup. EASY right?

    let me know how that goes.

    @time

    You can't create an ms backup if you have a softmodded Xbox at the moment. The ms backup is a FRESH copy of your original Xbox dash. Thats why I recommend SID 4.0+ b/c if you were to try to do that, SID won't let you back it up b/c there are softmodded files.

    Will Tooxfly there is no eeprom backup what so ever on the C:/ Drive.
    apparently when the guy softmoded the xbox, he only made a backup of the
    "MS Dash" but be didn't select "Create Mod Backup" which would have made a backup of the eeprom. The xbox is working perfectly so I am not going to worry about it too much that I don't have the eeprom backed up. if worse comes to worse, i'll do what Azzidrain said, buy a chip and a larger hdd.
