Is it possible to backup Madden 06? Just wondering because I tried to to do it and it didn't work. I FTPed the game straight to my PC from the D Drive on my XBox. I then created the iso image using Qwix. I burned the iso on a DVD+R and when I put it into my XBox, it says there is no disk in the drive. I did the same procedure for WWE RAW 2 and it worked fine. Just wondering if it is possible because these games get expensive. And when you have small kids like I do, it is good to back them up and save the originals.

Yes. It is possible to backup Madden 2006. I have a successful copy on a DvD-R disc and it works great. Before replying to your post, I made one on a DVD+R and that one works fine as well.

Maybe Qwix is being funny with you on this one. There is a link to a tutorial in my signature that uses Craxtion for the same process. Give that a shot and see if you have any better results.

Remember you can use the Auto FTP on Qwix and that works just as good if not better (My Preference). Or if you have boXplorer you can use that to directly copy a game off you D: to E: or F:. Or you can FTP from your computer, then from your computer, back to your xbox.

I think what i did wrong was I tried to FTP straight from the D Drive on My Xbox to my Computer. So I basically just tried to burn a copy of the disk. I am going to try again later today and see if I can get it to work. I have the game backed up on my XBox now, so I should just be able to FTP it back to my PC and then create the ISO and burn it. Thanks for the help guys.

One last thing... do you know if a copied game would work on an unmodded XBox?

No. Copied Games/Backups will not work on a stock/retail/unmodified XBOX.

You're right, auto FTP is preferred [bold](better known as DHCP)[/bold]. But w/o even asking I'm gonna guess that the reason haduke is making his backups this way is because he doesn't have a modified XBOX with a larger hdd installed, therefore, it's the only way he can...unless it's a super small game like Disney Skate Park or something.

Actually... I do have a larger hard drive installed. A 160GB hard drive to be exact. I don't know of any other way to do the backups. If you do, then please tell. Thank you.
