I was wondering has anyone tried this method out on a Dvd+R DL disc.Meaning ripping nothing out,and having it work on a modchip like DMS4 or Matrix Infinity something like that.I haven't heard anyone mention Dvd+R DL support using Sonix tool.

    Hey Guys, Look this link...

    http://www.console-news.org/index.php?_site=2&_subsite=1

Confusion version seems like freeze at the later part of the game. I'm not sure, but this site is one of the most reliable sources in the release information.

    Hope Another version(JizMak) work fine...

I think anyone with a dms4 will be able to do a straight rip and burn it to a DL disc once toxic releases their new DL patch for the chip. Think im just gonna wait until that happens.

Which cd/dvd gen. do we use? There are so many of them.
When I look at tutorial posted by Sonix, it says tools needed:
DVD Decrypter, Apache2 & God of war tool V.1
    I have all 3.
He has also posted step by step walkthrough, there is absloutley no mentione of cddvdgen anywhere.
    Is this really required?

I get all the way to the Apache2 rebuild the iso part... I import the Iml file that Sonix included with his tutorial... then when I hit build ISO it says "cannot find GODOFWAR\SYSTEM.CNF"

Anyone know how to fix this?

I think the confusion version is fine. The problems started when a guy said he froze on level 14, but he had his ps2 sitting vertical and it worked fine when he set it horizontal. I dont think there are any issues with the relasese, its poeples ps2 laser or crappy media.

Nah not yet,but hatebreed it would be kinda like this if it was to work right.I would probably have to delete some videos somewhere to make it fit on disc for Swap Magic peeps.I was working on downsizing all the videos, but it seems to take a long time.Your best bet is to use the utility from Sonix like Jizmak mentioned for right now.I will start working on GT4 since it hasn't been backed up yet, because there is solution for God of War now for Swap Magic peeps.

If u have a DL (dual layer) burner... couldn't u theoretically burn the disc on two layers?? in one straight shot? I have a dual layer burner but i've never used the dual layer feature... anyone know?? just a thought

Don't bother with DL yet, this working version is set-up for DVD5, unless you want some coasters or want to waste a $10.00 media

Nah it won't work just burning it to a DL media isack2230.The reason why is that the .PAK files both have the game inside of them.We only support writing at OTP at the moment, which means reading the first layer all the way through then the second. If you just burn it to a DL media,it won't look for the second layer PART2.PAK.I think on the pressed discs they have it burned to where it reads the PART1.PAK all the way through then switches the layer and reads the rest of the game on PART2.PAK.I believe Sonix is working on more utilities for these kind of games,so definately keep watch of what he is doing also.

I gave up and just bought the game. Besides, the videos I couldn't miss out on.

I made an .iso using Alcohol 120% and then used DVDDecrypter to burn .iso to DVD+R DL. The Duo2se mod chip reads it fine and I have played the game for approx 30 minutes. Are you guys saying that the game will lock up later when it's looking for the second half of the game?
