I own the game but would like to back it up on cd
I backed up cd 1 as it used Safedisc 2 it seemed to work fine.
but while trying to back up disc 2 using that same type of copy protection removal i just get a slew of errors.
BTW im using the Alcohol 120% to do this.
Any idea why it should be so hard to back up disc 2
Also if i use clone cd to try and find out what protection is used i just get 4 skulls and a message saying error.

What kind of burner do you have?
Have you gone through the tutorials for using Alcohol 120% in regards to SafeDisc 2(x) protected games?

Also, did your errors occur during the "create image file" process? Or with the burn?

Because if it was with the image making process, it "is" normal to have read errors in the first 10,000 to 13,000 sectors (when creating image files from Safedisc 2 prot. games)

And finally, CD protection will only be present on one of the game discs. The "play disc", or disc that is required to be in your drive during playback.

Your fine using Alcohol 120% to backup MOH. Disc 2 is Safedisc 2.x protected. The errors you see when reading the image is Safedisc first(10,000-13,000)sectorsof the cd, nothing uncommon here, Just be sure to click the Safedisc 2 profile BEFORE reading the image file for cd 2. Depending upon the brand name of your burner will determine if you can play yourbackyp(s) with, or without "additional measures".

I have a HP DVD 2001 and a new Panasonic multi recorder.
I will try all the above and see what happens.
    Thanks guys

Your HP dvd burner is considered a 1 sheep burner (EFM Encoding)= writes regular bit patterns almost correctly. You'll need to install Alcohol 120% or any other software to "hide cd-r" to play yourbackup. After making your backup be sure that Alcohol 120% is running in system tray (startup) with emulation bad sector and ignore media type.

Actualy i tried on both my drives to back up disc 2.
Disc1 was no problem but disc 2 read errors all the way down using safe2.
I let it go and finish and then tried to copy the image it created using the ALCOHOL 102% but it would not copy it.
Just wondering why im having so much trouble with disc 2 when disc 1 seemed to work just fine.

    As I stated already Scott:

CD protection will only be present on one of the game discs. The "play disc", or disc that is required to be in your drive during playback.

So this^^ is why the "play disc" is always more challenging to properly backup.
As well, it's important to note what Shoey said about your burner. It's only a one sheep burner and thus, you will need emulation (Alcohol 120%) in order to play your backup copy. (If you are able to make a succesful burn in the first place. I don't know.)

@Shoey, compliments from the Master? o_O

    hah

But seriously, thanks bro, I is tryin' :)

Disc 2 is not the playback disc.
Disc 1 is the disc required by the game and that
    was simple to back up.
Im hoping someone else has experience with this very game so they could maybe explain why the non game disc wont back up

    Er, why? What errors occured?
Only 1 disc is Safedisc 2.8.x cd protected, the other you can burn with any burnin' program. Use ClonyXXL and scan both discs. 1 should be detected Safedisc 2.8.x. This is the disc you use Alcohol 120% with the profile Safedisc 2.0. HP writers\burners can't make a "true" backup, so after you make a backup, be sure that Alcohol 120% is runnin' in system tray with emulation options checked: ignore media type and bad sector emulation. I backed up The Sims Unleashed with an LG 24x burner and the game is Safedisc 2.8.x. Backup requires Alcohol runnin' in system tray and emulation.

I have had the same problem, but I dont know why either, but I made an image using alcohol and that seems to work fine by itself but it doesn't work when I burn it to a cd

    Sigma,
Run Alcohol in system tray (startup), go to emulation options and tick ignore media type& bad sectors emulation. LEAVE Alcohol runnin' in system tray and insert backup in your burner. Backup should play?
What brand name& model burner do you have?

    Sigma,
CloneCD supported writers show all Samsung burners as "1 sheep" burners (EFM encoding). You can backup the game with success, but will you'll need "addition ameasures". Follow the instructions I gave you (Alcohol 120) and the backup should play in your burner. if you crash or have to redo your system, only way your get backup to play is by emulation.
