I have been successful at backing up several movies to DVD+R by using IfoEdit, however, IfoEdit requires a VIDEO_TS.IFO file and a vts.ox.ifo file. The new Spiderman movie does not have the IFO extension on the VIDEO_TS file either on the movie itself or after it is ripped to copy and paste to. Anybody have any ideas on how to get around it?

if you use Smartripper you can get it to rip the ifo file as well as the video & ac3 audio

Actually I figured out what to do. Previously I have always had a file extension of .IFO that Ifoedit recognized-this new movie was being ripped using SmartRipper and prior to ripping it showed the VIDEO_TS file AS an IFO file, but would not appear after ripping with the file extension. The solution was to select/view ALL files in IFOedit, instead of IFO files and select the VIDEO_TS file that way. Then it works fine.

I backed Spiderman up using smart-ripper, then re-mpeg then spruce-up to make the disc image then used primo to write the disc. I know it's a bit long winded but i find it very reliable.

hello guys, I'm having a problem with this dam Spiderman DVD! I used smartripper to backup on HD, and I used IfoEdit 9.4 to split into to directories. Everything seems ok (main movie is Vts_01...vobs right) Usually i do manul copy paste for Video_ts_ifo, Video_ts_buf, Video_ts_vob but IfoEdit 9.4 does this for me. Then I do the Vts sector tab thingy, and when I try to playback using Ifoedit I never get threw the beginning bird screen. Actually I'm able to view the play movie, select scene etc... but it always goes back to the bird shit thingy...lol.... any help guys please!
