I just backed up "The Aviator" using Decrypter and Shrink. The movie played fine all the way through until the last 3 chapters. The problem was that at the end of those chapters when it should advance to the next one it restarted the SAME chapter. It was easy to get past but annoying. Why would it have skipped back to beginning of the chapter like that?

What brand of media are you using? What speed did you burn at?

I was having that same problem when I used decrypter and dvd shrink. I went on to try something new, CloneDvd2. I copied it to my HD into an Iso file and then I also had CloneDvd2 burn it. I also did however have anydvd running in the background. I hope this helps a little. Or gives you some insight.

I did it with shrink and nero. No special protection on this dvd.(the region 1 dvd, anyway) JJenn doesn't seem to have problems ripping this movie, it sounds like the edge of the dvd media is a little sketchy. Again, what media are you using and at what speed are you burning at? Also, what did you set the target size to?
