backing up windows 98 second edition

    i wish to backup my windows disc so i have a copy in case my original gets scratched or something

    when i try to do it in alcohol it gets to about 85% then just comes up with a million read errors

    who can help a brother out?

    set Alcohol to skip read errors.

    Hmmm, I doubt it will burn useful CD backup if you skip data.

    I have burn't Windows before. I think i used General Protected Cd and it worked fine.

    Windows 98 is not copy protected. Just use Windows to copy it to a new folder on your hard drive, as in drag the windows cd and drop it to a new folder. If you get read errors, then either clean the cd or clean the drive... regardless, there is no protection on that CD so treat it like you would any basic data cd.
