    Hey guys

I want to back up my Windows 2000 Pro and Windows 95 SE disc. The problem is when I go to do a "copy to copy" cd, it starts up ok and the in the process of burning, the Windows disc want to install then my copied disc get spitted out of the drive and then get retracted and then its says that the blank media is corrupt and its not blank anymore. I already wasted 3 disc trying to do this. I'm using Easy CD creator 5.0 Plat. the "Copied CD" portion of the software. Can someone help me copy these disc, a step by step would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I also have Nero, but at the time I was burning a DVD movie (I have 2 comp) and I could not use the drive.

Is making and image a better choice so I don't have so many coasters.

    Thanks to anyone who replies.

Win2k nor Win95 has no cd protection on the discs, so ECDC should have made backups without error. if you installed DirectCD then it's "possible" the program is conflicting with your ASPI layers. Use another program and run NO apllications when burning. See if it was just ECDC or possibly the media your using. I copy" on the fly" when backing up non protected cd's using CloneCD, not a coaster since this option was featered over a year ago.

I mad a mistake, it was a Windows 98 SE (it is copyrighted), but the Win 2K Pro was not. Either way both disc did that to me, I finally got it to work. I use Nero and did the "CD to CD" copy, it made an image and then ask me for blank media and that was it. I think Easy CD Creator is not very good copying cd, I use it for my MP3 and its fine, but Nero kicks ass it copy everything from my DVD movies to these copyrighted disc.

Hope thats helps anybody out there

I've backed up Win98SE with NTI CD Maker 2000 Pro a couple of years ago. I recently scanned the disc using the latest ClonyXXL and no cd protection was found. I do know some of Microsoft Works Suite versions have early Safedisc 1.x cd protection.
