I just purchased the latest nero 7 ultra. I made a CD and DVD boot disk to test the backup features. The disk boots the linux bootstrap then another Nero splashcreen opens for a few seconds. The screen turns black and all I am left with is a small dash in the upper left corner. Since this is a new product nero offers free tech support for ten days. I spent an hour on hold before getting cut off. Any ideas on how to troublshoot this. I have created CD and DVD boot disks with just about everything with no problems. I have no unsual hardware configurations. Just a sata hard drive and DVD burner. Thanks, Steve
This is not a solution, but a comment. All the boot recovery CDs that work with Linux have problems with certain hardware configurations, depending on the Linux kernel used and the drivers included in it. Many of those CDs do not work with SATA discs.
