Hi all, Just to let you know, I recently purchased Batman Begins on DVD (used @ Blockbuster, $8 bucks, good disc no scratches). This film is quite long but I have made a personal backup that will fit onto 1 CD: 170MB (audio) + 516MB (video) = beautiful 694MB XviD AVI. Long films could be backed up onto 2 CDs (1400MB filesize) and this is what we used to do, to preserve quality... However, Koepi's XviD Codec v1.1.0 (30.12.2005 Final Build) really does the job! http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/xvid.cfm This (small) backup both looks and sounds fantastic. There is an even newer version from Koepi, XviD Codec v1.2.127 (Koepi's 25.02.2006 Beta) but, difficult to improve what's already great, LoL :^) Thank you Koepi. Guys let's all try to keep AfterDawn tidy - all questions NOT about encoding DivX/XviD belong in a different forum! If you already have a DivX/XviD and wish to turn it into something else, please ask about it someplace else (the correct AfterDawn forum). Regards
