You'd have to make a rip of them to make a backup. Same protection scheme so it still won't rip in your PC DVD drive. Hope you have a BBA.

I used CloneCD the other day to make a copy of my Metroid Prime 2 backup (I wanted to try it on different media), then burnt it with CloneCD and it worked just fine. I can't tell you if that would work with all GC games but I can tell you that it worked with that one GC game.

That is an incorrect statment. If you already have the GC game riped and burned to a backup disc then all you need to do is make a copy of the disc. I have done this many times.

I use Nero to do this. All you have to do is insert the disc in your computer DVD-Rom drive and start nero start smart and choose (COPY DVD).

I prefer to rip the game to my hard drive then burn it to disc. So when I start the COPY DVD option I choose the source as the DVD ROM/BURRNER and choose (IMAGE RECORDER) for the destination. Next it will ask where to save the IMG file and name it. Then it will read and rip the game to your computer HDD.

After that start up start smart again and choose (BURN IMAGE FILE) and then choose the GC game you just riped on the HDD and make sure the destination is set to your DVD burrner this time and nero will write the image to disc.

I would asume if you didnt want to rip to your HDD you can keep the destination setting to your DVD burrner and have it burn it after it reads it in 1 step. But like I said I prefer ripping it to the HDD first.
