maybe you should make the vcd into an image files with nero and burn the image file, that may work, other than that i am not sure.
maybe burn speed, crap disks, ??

You don't mention whether your original VCD is working in your DVD player or not? When you have a menu on the VCD, it won't work by just pushing play, you have to push 1 (or the number of the item on the menu you wish to watch). A successful backup should work through Nero copy disk.

My VCD doesnt have a menu, so I can just copy the VCD with nero onto a CD-r?

You still don't mention whether the original VCD works on your DVD player???? You should be able to just do a copy cd through nero and then be able to watch it.
If there is a menu, generally play will not work. You have to push the number of the program on the VCD menu (1 if only one item)

I may be wrong but it sounds like this guy wants to copy his vcd to a dvd. You are not going to find that will work! If you are using Nero then just simply make a cd copy and you should be ok. Unless of course your first copy of the vcd wouldnt play either.
