Its not illegal if you own the game, making a backup is fine. If you download them and dont own them, then that is illegal and i dont advise it.

Yes, because when you rip a game it is an stealth xtreme iso and the xbox cannot recognise the format. When you convert it to the NME format the Xbox will be able to read it. It wont work any other way.

for those of us with standalone duplicators...

what about inside a duplicator such as an acard 1 to 1 ?

i have been told if you use writer to writer e.g pioneer 111d dual layer writer top and bottom you can backup a backup is this true ?

No because the Pioneer cannot read the disc only the samsung drive does. To be honest your the first person i have heard mention that method.

Just to make the answer public.

If you have the samsung you still need to mod the 360 as you are playing backups the original firmware on the drive will not allow it otherwise.

If you want to stealth patch a game i would use Xbox Backup Creator and then you will need NME Associator.

Give me more details about exactly what you are trying to do?

Are you ripping an original game or is this an ISO pulled down off the net?

i have the back-up game already burned, but its not stealth patched.
i don't have the original game and i deleted the ISO file before. Can i back-up the back-up game on my computer (like the iso file) then patch it? i'm not to sure.

I don't think this was answered....

If I do a 1:1 backup of an already patched version and use clonecd do I have to worry about patching it again?

    Thanks for the info.

Yes you can backup the backup game, use Schtrom (preferably) to do it or Xbox backup creator. You do not need to stealth patch it if the game is recent it would have already been patched.

However in Xbox Back UP creator under tools you can run a stealth check and it i will tell you. Video will always say Questionable when you do it. If lets say its an old game and is not patched you will need this site to get the SS file used for patching it http://ss.softmodfiles.net/index.php...rity Sectors

also have a read of this forum here its answered
