    Hi

This is probably an easy question but I have no idea what search terms to put in google or the forums here. Situation is this:

I’ve backed up loads of data to a dvd.
The burn went ok, but I cannot read the disk.
So I’ve copied everything back to the hard drive giving me an .nrg file.
When I copy again to a dvd I get a movie structure (audio_ts, dvd_1_1 and video_ts) All the data is in the DVD_1_1 folder but in .vob, .ifo etc etc format.)

Thing is, the information in there was data: programes, spreadsheets etc. etc.

Is there anyway I can get back the programes I back up?
AND, wtf did I do wrong in the first place?

    Thanks in advance

    Zin

You used Nero Backup..... it burned an image of your files... in DVD format..... I never used the backup program so I can't tell you how it is or what to do.... but the VOB files are DVD compliant files for movies or video. If you have spread sheets and data files on there I don't know how to use the program to extract that out of an image file. sorry. hope someone can help you out. Or try to download the manual on Nero Backup.
