Hey, im not sure if this is the particular forum is for this question but it is not an xbox Game backup question so i saw no other place for it here goes, my xbox (dont no the version) will play my mates backups (when he doesent want to bring his originals in case they get damaged) (Datawrite -r silver & Red) but when i try my backups nothing happens it loads up "Xbox microsoft" but no action (i use Mirror Platinum DVD -R 4 speed) i press the menu button nothing i press play nothing they are regionless discs so that isent the problem (i dont think) Any & All help will be greatly appreciated Dean
What program are you using to create the xISO?It could be that ur xbox dvd drive just doesn't read ur discs.I have uses Ritek G03 & G04 and it works with all 3 types of dvd drives fawlessly. If the game is under 1 gb or it doesn't take up the whole disc.Try to make a multi game disc in order to fill out the whole disc.IF u don't want to do that then just add a dummy file. That works for most drives. But it all depends on the dvd media that u are using. For more info go to www.xbox-scene.com
hey sorry if I dident make myself clear enough (DVD Films) not Games thanks for the speedy reply tho U know about playing DVD Movies on Xbox? Dean
It matters about the media still. Some dvd media won't play on the xbox. I use Dvd Decrypter to rip the film to HDD.Then shink it down with either dvd shirk or Elbys Clone dvd. After that I just use Nero to burn the Image of the file, or the vob's. Try to get some Ritek G03 and check if it works, with ur xbox drive.IF u can't buy Ritek then just get some Fuji-Film @ ur local computer store. Thats what I use to Burn/Rip film in order to play them on my xbox. Then I just use the xbox dvd player to play them..U might all so want to check out DVDx2 or Xbox Media Center/Xbox Media PLayer.
hey, i use CloneDVD all the way..... the discs i do will play on my PS2 lol and my DVD Players but not my Xbox thanks for the media advice i thought it would be to do with the discs i was using Thanks ill get back when ive tested sum stuff Dean
I noticed you're burning to -R discs. Does the XBox need +R discs? What were your friends? If I remember correctly MS signed onto the +R bandwagon. I don't own a console - just a thought. RWG
hey, thanks for the advice ill try it out on sum RW media and see how it likes it and ill also try the +R - (i cant remember which one was my mates) Cheers Matador/RWG - very helpful Dean
