I burn some images and all goes wrong, sometimes the disk finish ok, the GC start it and u can play it, but it get ramdon DREs; sometimes dont even finish to write the disc (the burner burn all the data, and fail closing the session).

Well im just saying that actually i had wasted a lot of good media (Ritek G-04), i burn a lot of times, i think it could be the firmware, i updated and its the same, id said it could be bad installation on Xeno/POT adjust issues, but i bought some GC backups, and run flawless.

Every time i did the burning, i opened the modthatcube guide and follow it step by step. but just now i read it carefully and i found this

Every time i did a burn, i checked out the "Finalize CD" option because it wasnt grayed out, i just said "must be the same". But losing expensive media and getting good burns its not the same, so i ask:

Maybe this issue have some to do on getting ALLLL the bad burns? And what i do?

    Hi,

first of all make sure your chip is running the latest build of bios you are using, then try your dre backups and see how they perform. Second of all, burn your backups with dvddecrypter and see if that makes a difference, always burn your backups at the lowest speed. If that doesn't make a difference (it should, provided you are using the latest build of bios), the final alternative is to adjust your GC's laser pot, but I highly recommend you do not do this, seeing as the backups you bought run just fine. Adjusting it may make reading matters worse. Never-the-less, I am very certain the problem lies in the build of bios you are running or the way you are burning.

I just wanted to tell you guys that there are free alternatives to Nero. I seriously hate Nero. I use to love it, then came the bugs. I have a whole house full of them, I don't need a program to flood me with more! Anyways, here's an incomplete list:
    DeepBurner Free
    DVD Decrypter
    DVD Shrink
Any Codec Pack (like XP Codec Pack)
    Img Burn
    Media Player Classic
And much, much more! If you know where to look and look hard enough, you can find a free replacement on just about EVERY detail that Nero has. The only thing that sets this apart from the freebies is the bundlepack that it includes!
One more thing (it's not free, but it does the job 200% better!), ConvertXtoDVD!
