Bad FPS - Choppy playback

Howdie folks,

Lately I've noticed anything I've burnt to disc is becoming rather choppy. The process involves converting from AVI to DVD then basically burnt straight onto disc, i haven't had any issues with this before.
I use the NTSC option when burning, will this be affecting playback? Resolution stays at "recommended".
The software i use is simply:

ConvertXtoDVD 3 - This program also allows you to burn directly after conversion, which i normally use.

Nero - Playback is also quite bad. Maybe a wrong choice in software?

When watching the media on my computer, playback is fine with no hitches.. am i doing something wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

What's your burn speed?

What kind of blank media are you using?

 

Burn speed is normally 6.
The blank media I'm using at the minute is Panasonic.

 

I'm not sure what those code out as, you could run DvdIdentifier on them to check:

Try using good quality blank media, like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Sony.

Poor quality media and burning too fast are a huge portion of playback problems.

If you could provide a log, we'd have some more insight.
