I updated my Liteon LH-16W1P DVDRW to the latest firmware, ran the Nero extended R/W tests (error free), and am able to successfully burn DVD's. However, when I use CDBurnerXP to burn a CD, it completes successfully, but the disc will only play in a few CD players, and NOT in the Liteon drive! It will play in my IoMagic DVDRW. I can use Windows Explorer on both drives to see that there are 19 .cda files on the disk, but only play from one. The media is a cheap PNY type, but I'm very surprised that I can't play it on the drive that it was burned on. Troubleshooting suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks.

the problem is usually finalizing. make the the software finalized the disc. (usually in settings somewhere) if you dont know how to do it, then just insert the disc into a cd writer, when the disc is read, then start nero and follow the steps as if you were going to burn any regular disc but instead of adding files just click next and if you get an option saying something like 'create a multisession disc', uncheck the box and continue burning. this way, it will finalize the disc and would be readable in all drives
