i have a plextor px716a dl i had to restore my computer to the factory settings the plextor is a add on i'm using dvd clone and any dvd software also tried nero but still get the same thing will burn some of the way and read bad media some not at all using tdk+r also tried sony -r they worked before do i need firmware or is there some thing im missing any help would be grateful thanks kevin
It told you that you have bad media. TDK falls into that catagory. Use quality media, i.e. Tys or Verbs, insure your firmware is current, do not burn at maximum speed and do not multitask while burning.
Like bilbo65 says use good media, burn at most at half rated speed of media, update firmware, do not multitask and use imgburn and not Nero for burning. If using +r media booktype to dvd-rom (imgburn will do this if set- imgburn is compatible with plextors)
