Hi. So i had two divx file that i want to join. The problem is that the audio encoding are different in the two files, so after reading a lot of messages, answers,i found that i would need to encode again the sound in both of files and then join them. So, encoding the audio part was no problem, the problem was with the video. The quality of the video was terrible comparing with the original divx. I have configured VirtualDub, in the Video section, to use Direct Stream Copy(i believe, maybe i am wrong, the in this way the video will become the same as the original). I have tried to use Full Processing Mode, and choose a lot of options in the compression section, but i always get a bad quality video. Can anyone Help Me?? I'm new in this stuff. Thanks.
Hi Again, I have found that the divx i have created, is only with bad quality if i saw it on Media Player or RadLight for exeample. If i saw it in BSPlayer it is Ok. Does this help? Thanks again.
What do you mean by the audio encoding being different. Did the movies' audio file use a vbr method of encoding? You should use Virtualdubmod ( http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virtualdubmod/VirtualDubMod_1_5_4_1_All_inclusive.zip?download ) for this process since it is easier to use and has more options available. Plus you can work with vbr audio streams. But if you still want to re-encode here's what you do: Load the movie in virtualdubmod. Go to streams menu select stream list. Click Demux. (You will now have a copy of the audio file.) Re-encode the file. Load video back into vdubmod. In the stream list, click disable. Click Add and choose the audio file you re-encoded. Go to video menu, select Direct Stream Copy. Save Avi. Good Luck.
