bad vidio capture quality

    i am capturing from a jvc digital camcorder through a fire wire card but the image quality is poor i have a g force 4mx 440 graphics card and a high spec pc running windows 2k pro can anyone help?

    What program are you using to capture? Are you capturing in Mpeg 2 or Avi?

    i am capturing in avi from adobe premiere 6.0 from a basic pc line capture card

    ok, how fast is your cpu. You say you are using a dv cable, what kind of firewire card do you have and are the drivers updated?
